The Riverland region undertook a remodelling of its sterilisation process, adopting a more efficient Hub and Spoke model.
The Riverland General Hospital at Berri became the Hub, with Loxton as Spoke. All new workflows align with the requirements of AS4187.
Riverland General (Berri) Hospital
Hodgkison designed and delivered a full compliance upgrade of CSSD facilities at the Riverland ‘Hub’ sterilisation processing site, located at Berri.
Works included significant reconfiguration of existing spaces, and delivery of compliant dirty to clean workflows supporting packing, sterile storage and transfer of medical instruments.
Loxton Hospital Complex:
The change in clinical service delivery in the Riverland area saw compliance upgrade of facilities at Loxton Hospital. The refurbishment of the ‘Spoke’ site, included modest reconfiguration of existing spaces, and gave consideration to compliant dirty to clean workflows.
